I'm a Colorado native, born on one side of the Continental Divide and raised on the other. I've never lived anywhere else, although I've daydreamed about it a lot! (Colorado winters tend to get you thinking about warm places.) An only child, books were my friends. I lived what I read, and when I ran out of things to read, I realized I wanted to be a writer. I pounded out my first novel - a historical romance - on an antique typewriter that had once belonged to a sportswriter for the Denver Post. I finished my first “real” manuscript in 2008 and was a second place winner in the Touched By Love 2009 contemporary category romance contest.
I married my high school sweetheart 21 years ago. We have four children (one girl, three boys), a son-in-law, and a grandson. We share our household with Archie, Niki's spoiled West Highland White Terrier, and two lovable but annoying doggy siblings of mixed parentage named Blackjack and Buddy.
After teaching a ladies' Bible study for several years, I was encouraged to take two particular studies and turn them into book format. The first, a study on offense entitled The Judas Trap, and the second, an exposition on Proverbs 31 entitled Here Comes the Bride: The Church in Proverbs 31, are available at Amazon.com.
