About Me

My blog's title came about in an unusual way. Facebook (to which I am mildly addicted) had a silly quiz posted one day. Enter the letters of your name and see what words the computer can make from those letters. To my surprise, instead of coming up with something like "garbage truck" or "daisy cloud," the computer generated the words "In Truer Ink." I liked it. It fits my mission as a writer - to put truth on the page that will bring light, life, and love to the reader.
I'm a Colorado native, born on one side of the Continental Divide and raised on the other. I've never lived anywhere else, although I've daydreamed about it a lot! (Colorado winters tend to get you thinking about warm places.) An only child, books were my friends. I lived what I read, and when I ran out of things to read, I realized I  wanted to be a writer. I pounded out my first novel - a historical romance - on an antique typewriter that had once belonged to a sportswriter for the Denver Post. I finished my first “real” manuscript in 2008 and was a second place winner in the Touched By Love 2009 contemporary category romance contest.
I married my high school sweetheart 21 years ago. We have four children (one girl, three boys), a son-in-law, and a grandson. We share our household with Archie, Niki's spoiled West Highland White Terrier, and two lovable but annoying doggy siblings of mixed parentage named Blackjack and Buddy.

After teaching a ladies' Bible study for several years, I was encouraged to take two particular studies and turn them into book format. The first, a study on offense entitled The Judas Trap, and the second, an exposition on Proverbs 31 entitled Here Comes the Bride: The Church in Proverbs 31, are available at Amazon.com.
